colourful ostracod

this is an image of a small crustacean, called an ostracod, dyed with various fluorescent dyes and imaged under ultraviolet light.  i like the vivid colours and fuzziness.

Let us hope that a more advanced "civilisation" does not want to see what we look like after being injected with various flourescent dyes!

It might be my astronomy obsession but that really looks like some weird Wolf Rayet nebula in a galaxy far far away!
