things and stuff astronomy and life
Very pretty!, but it would make astronomical observations quite difficult.
Wouldn't the non-equatorial orbit of the moon put some serious non-planar deviations in them?
What would be the astrophysical/geophysical implications of an Earth ring system? The animation was stunning...almost makes me wish we did have rings! Thanks again, Amanda!
When we look "from the outside in" at Saturn's rings they look banded. If we had banded rings around our planet would we see the bands (looking "from the inside out", that is), or would the rings look white, like they did in the animation?Great images--thanks!
It already has rings in the form of man made debris. & we do mean man.
