I believe that part of the reason is security concerns. That was the reason the Secret Service wanted to take his blackberry away (Obama managed to keep it).
That his campaign for technology in the white house hasn't gotten him a computer is weird, but even stranger is how his campaign for change hasn't changed anything. It's just baffling.

Presidents spend less time than you would think in that office, it's mostly for looks. But good spot!
Doesn't he just dictate whatever he wants written to a clerk? lol. Or maybe that's just what I want to have for myself!

pretty sure he has one in his private office....I would think that the desk in the Oval Office is mostly for flying the flag
computer hinders the brain to think... might be that is the raeson he might have avoided
