Regarding "changing the constants", I immediately went in a different direction: If you set c = 1, then the fundamental purpose of E=mc^2 becomes much more obvious: E=m Energy is matter; matter is energy.
Not quite what they meant, I'm sure, but I am fascinated with the idea that changing our scales or systems of measurement can elucidate or obscure the meaning behind the math.
