air traffic visualization

here's a neat visualization of all the air traffic that flies over britain in one day, from the BBC program britain from above. they use GPS data to attain the flight paths. its amazing how many planes pass overhead each day....

Great animation and thanks for putting it up, but it does miss out all of the military flights. The airspace around Anglesey and off the north Scotish coast are both very busy but the GPS tracks can't be released. Makes the airspace even more crowded and me glad I'm not in Air Traffic Control!
