venus and saturn from peru

i lucked out on location for last sunday's alignment of venus and saturn!! we were camped for the first night of our hike to choquequirao, peru at about 3,000 meters (~9,000ft). there was a perfectly flat clearing between the cliffs that allowed for some fun, low-tech astrophotography of venus and saturn....



we were also treated to a very bright jupiter!!! you can even see antares to the upper right of jupiter...
