laser cooling

did you know you could cool a gas with lasers? this sixty symbols video explains the process...

(i didnt know there was such an intricate laser system here at the university of nottingham!)

    I got to see the laser setup the Physics department had at UNBSJ a few years back. Not entirely sure what they were doing with it. But whatever it is, I'm sure it was really cool.
